Meet Pastor Curt Beadle

In May of 2001, at the age of 38, I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and committed my life to know Him and to make Him known. I strive to be an authentic follower of Christ in everything; whether it be in my family, my friends, and certainly in my calling and responsibilities as pastor. I am blessed to be serving as pastor at Crossroads Baptist Church where God is doing some amazing and exciting things.

I grew up in Hazleton, IN and graduated high school from Princeton in 1981. After high school, I attended Indiana University-Bloomington, and graduated in 1986 (B.S. Accounting). With the accounting degree, I entered the business world and worked as a plant accountant for Tyson Foods before making the transition into plant management. While working at Tyson Foods, I eventually became a plant manager (Vicksburg, MS). Later, I changed company’s and moved to Mt. Pleasant, TX where I worked for Pilgrim’s Pride as a plant manager of one of the country’s largest chicken further processing facilities.

However, in February 2007, God called me away from the chicken business. Shortly after being saved in 2001, I could feel my interest in plant management waning and my desire to serve Jesus tremendously increasing. Thus, I surrendered to serve Christ and accepted a position as youth pastor. Although the position was a bi-vocational role, it opened the door for full-time ministry in 2009. Upon completely leaving the secular plant management position, I yearned for more formal training of the Word, and entered seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX where I received a Master of Divinity with concentrations in Pastoral Leadership and Biblical Languages.

Currently, all our children and grandchildren live in Indiana which allows us to see them often; I enjoy spending time with my family and playing games together. Hobbies and interests include hunting, reading, and occasional traveling. Also, I love to attend USAC sprint car races! Two things that you should know about me: 1) I never learned to swim; 2) I eat ice cream really, really fast!

On a personal note, my wife, Sheila and I, married on August 4, 1984 and have 3 children; Kayla (husband Colton), Tyler (wife Alyssa), and Chase (wife Perla), and 3 grandchildren (Micah, Anna, and Jasper).
